1922 Royal Enfield Model 200

1922 Royal Enfield Model 200

In 1893, a British bicycle manufacturer won a contract to supply precision parts to the Royal Small Arms Factory for the Lee-Enfield rifle. They were so proud that they renamed their bikes “Royal Enfields” and introduced the trademark, “Made Like A Gun.” When they began making motorcycles in 1901, they kept the name. With a smaller engine than many modern snowblowers, Royal Enfields may appear underpowered; however, the company successfully sold motorcycles using the same engine from 1915 until 1965.
