ca. 1933 Chevrolet Stovebolt

This 6-cylinder engine cutaway shows the inner workings of an engine design that Chevrolet kept in production for over 30 years. Sometimes known as the “Cast Iron Wonder,” this 74 hp engine was advertised as “A Six for the Price of Four,” which referred to the idea that customers were getting a more powerful 6-cylinder engine for the same price as a 4-cyclinder engine.
